I was invited by Alessia Siniscalchi, the director and initiator of the festival “BURNING ART THROUGH ART” – “HAPPENING UNDER VESUΛIO” – to participate on June 12 and 13, 2026 in the eventand to stay at the same time at the residency between June 7 and June 14, 2026
Happening Under Vesuvio is a collective event rooted in actions, repetition, and transformation. The event invites audiences to experience a living, open form that evolves until the very last moment. It questions the role of artistic creation in an unstable world Not a fixed show. Not an exhibition. Each edition is guided by manifesto-hashtags: #INSIDERS #OUTSIDERS #EXPLOSION #IMPLOSION #PERFORMANCE #ANTIPERFORMANCE,#BORDERS #ROOTS a rich tapestry for artistic exploration Each iteration of the event centers around thematic hashtags, guiding participating artists in their explorations

"9055" & "9056"
"9055" & "9056"
I had completed two land Art objects for the BURNING ART THROUGH ART - HAPPENING UNDER VESUΛIO Festival
"9055" is the working title for the first Land Art Object. The structure consists of three straight, separate rows leading down the garden's main path. It is made of tiles of different sizes and colors. Each tile supports a stone of a different size. The installation creates an imaginary connection between the garden's main staircase and the horizon beyond. 9055 is both an independent artwork and an integral part of a site-specific live performance that I created for the festival.
"9056" is the working title of the land art installation. The installation is neither connected to nor directly related to installation 9055. It can exist as an independent artwork. This installation will not be part of the live performance. The installation is expansive and divided into seven segments, arranged among seven trees along the path that also houses installation 9055. The arrangement of the trees means that all segments are relatively far apart. This prevents the installation from appearing compact and instead creates a structure within the space. Stones of varying sizes rest on small green tiles.
All materials were discovered and collected on the compound: a pile of unused tiles, stones, gravel, and leaves in the beautiful garden. These materials inspired me to create these two land art installation.
The Two Live Performances
"9055" & "The Plant"
On June 12th and 13th 2026, I finally performed several times, presenting two performances. The first was a new site-specific performance that I had developed specifically for the festival. This new live performance was also an interdisciplinary project, as it incorporated a site-specific land art installation called "9055," which I've already mentioned. The performance shares the same title: "9055." The second performance, "The Plant," is an older work from 2023 and is adapted for each location. Both performances are silent, without any sound, featuring constant, slow, repetitive movements and actions. This created a contrast to the sound art pieces and the other, more moving performances by the other artists. Both performances took place at sunset and at night, which created a further contrast.
Both performances are partly based on the philosophical concepts of Zen and the Japanese concept of Ma. The concept of Ma, for example, represents a dynamic emptiness or pause—like the silence between notes in music, empty spaces in visual compositions, or pauses in conversation. Furthermore, other key words symbolize dignity, the relationship to time, silence, the Circle of Life, the power of solitude, and the fact that every living being and every object possesses its own inherent dignity. Autobiographical elements became also incorporated.
